Frequently Asked Questions

How many dogs are allowed to swim at any one time?

For each booking, up to 4 dogs are allowed to swim at once. There needs to be one human per 3 dogs for safety reasons.

Is the pool heated?

Yes, the pool is heated to between 23 and 26 degrees Celsius and will be warm enough for all dogs although humans might find it slightly chilly to start with.

Do I have to get in the pool?

No, you do not have to get in the pool with your dogs.  Our staff are always available to swim with your dog if you don't want to get soggy yourself!

How many people are allowed in the pool?

A maximum of 2 people are allowed to be in the pool and 4 others are allowed to observe. Please note that children under the age of 10 are not allowed to swim but are allowed to observe.  10 to 16 year olds must be competent swimmers and not out of their depth when in the pool, When under 16s are in the pool a responsible adult must remain on site.

What should I wear if I am swimming?

If you have a wetsuit, please feel free to wear it. If not, swimsuits/shorts are fine but be aware that claws can be sharp and can catch; a long-sleeved t-shirt and/or leggings can be worn to protect you from scratches.

What do I need to bring?​

A towel for you and your dog.  Feel free to bring your dog's favourite toys too!

​

Are there any changing facilities?

Yes, there are 2 changing rooms to use after your swim session. We advise that you come 'swim ready' with costumes underneath your clothes, to maximise your dog’s swim session.

At what age can my dog start swimming?

It is recommended that all puppies should be over 12 weeks before their first swim session. All puppies must be fully vaccinated before they can use the pool.

Can I take photos and videos?

Yes, you can take photos and videos and are more than welcome to share them to your social media platforms.  Don't forget to tag us in them!

Do you offer swimming lessons?

No, we do not offer actual swimming lessons, however we will try and assist your dog in how to swim and have life jackets to help them feel more comfortable. We offer special 'Introduction to Swimming' sessions if your dog is not used to water.

What if my dog can’t swim?

Most dogs can naturally swim but life jackets are always available to help them.

​

My dog is old, has an injury or is arthritic.  Can they still attend?

Yes, they can still attend a swimming session but we recommend that you speak to your vet if you have any concerns. Please note they might need to take more frequent breaks.

Do you accept banned breeds?

We like to cater for all dogs and will allow banned breads to attend where possible. As a condition of our insurance we do need to confirm some details before you attend, so please contact us before booking.

Will I get refunded if my booking is cancelled?

All bookings are non-refundable. If you cannot attend your booking it can be rescheduled to a different day. Please note that you will have to call or email if you need to change your booking.
